Position: Chief Finance Officer

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or any relevant discipline

Master’s Degree in Finance is preferred

Professional Accounting or Finance Certification (CMA, CPA, CFA, etc.) is preferred

12 to 15 years in financial management or investment function, preferably in Aviation Sector

Strong understanding of local and international accounting regulations (SOCPA, IFRS etc.)

Knowledge of fund and investment management

Awareness of stakeholders within Aviation Sector

Short Discerption

To lead and direct the Finance department ensuring effective monitoring of all financial and accounting activities as well as management of returns from operators and airports sector fund, in line with applicable standards and regulations, as per SAVC’s overall strategic direction

Tasks Summary

Design and implement Finance Department’s strategy and roadmap in alignment with the organization strategy as defined by the BoD

Establish Finance Department’s plans that support its overall strategic plans

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify Finance Department’s required initiatives to meet future business demands

Manage and drive the achievement of Finance Department’s strategy, objectives and KPIs within the accountabilities of the Department

Prepare and present regular reports on Department’s progress and outputs to be shared with relevant stakeholders in line with reporting requirements

Manage Finance Department budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process

Develop and oversee the implementation of Finance Department’s policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results

Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of Finance Department’s systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment

Oversee and guide the development financial reporting dashboards and tools for the efficient and robust reporting of the financial performance of SAVC’s and its subsidiaries

Oversee and lead the revamping, improvement and enhancement of SAVC’s accounting systems and processes

Review accounting reports and information prepared by the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of book-keeping, accountancy and related reconciliations for all activities within SAVC’s

Ensure cooperation with external auditors to enable compliance with regulatory requirements

Oversee insurance related activities in order to ensure all assets are covered with adequate insurance coverage

Review cash flow forecasts, cost controls and expenses and guides business leaders towards optimum utilization of SAVC’s resources

Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Finance Development Department

Guide, mentor and develop the Finance Department’s team to take larger and complex responsibilities

Identify and recruit key talent for the Finance Department

Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to Top Management

Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise direct reports and provide regular feedback on performance

Establish a high-performance working environment within the Finance Department
